Mark Mark Goode
President
Following careful analysis of investment trends, Mark Goode identified emerging opportunities in the secondary market for life insurance in early 2002. During the following year he organized and founded The Peninsula Group, LLC to be an integrated holding company entirely focused on the senior life insurance market. Peninsula controls and manages four distinct business subsidiaries which operate as a life settlement provider, a life insurance premium finance originator, an investment fund manager, and a life insurance policy and portfolio service provider. Mr. Goode serves not only as Peninsula’s CEO and Co-Manager but also as the President and CEO of Secondary Life Capital, LLC and Life Policy Dynamics, LLC.

Prior to his involvement in the secondary market for life insurance, Mr. Goode was integrally involved in a number of commercial real estate transactions. As a real estate investment banker, he structured and placed significant equity for the purchase of landmark buildings.

In addition to his financial and business experience, Mr. Goode is a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Legislative Affairs with a focus on Monetary and Fiscal Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development from the University of Oklahoma.

Jolene Jolene Fullerton
General Counsel
As the regulatory and compliance advisor to Secondary Life Capital, LLC, Ms. Fullerton oversees state insurance compliance issues, leads the company anti-fraud program, conducts due diligence pertaining to the transfer of ownership of life settlement contracts policies, and monitors and assists in crafting life settlement legislation and regulations. Ms. Fullerton is a recognized leader and legal spokesperson in the life settlement industry. She is a highly respected industry representative at national conferences including the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL), and North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). Prior to beginning her work in the life settlement industry Ms. Fullerton focused her practice on trust and estate law.

Ms. Fullerton earned her Juris Doctor from George Washington University in Washington DC and her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is also the former director and vice president of the Viatical and Life Settlement Association of America (VLSAA), an organization in which she remains actively involved.

Nancy Nancy Trick
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Trick oversees all aspects of Secondary Life Capital, LLC's forecasting, modeling and accounting functions. Prior to joining Secondary Life Capital, Ms. Trick spent more than 25 years in senior financial capacities, including Chief Financial Officer for several real estate ownership, management and asset management concerns, and Director with a leading public accounting firm. During her public accounting career, she was engaged to craft Secondary Life Capital's initial financial projections and market entry fund proforma.

Ms. Trick's seasoned background in finance includes the following highlights:

  • As Director of the Reznick Group, Ms. Trick consulted on portfolio acquisitions, portfolio strategies and asset management for a broad range of clients.
  • During her tenure as Senior Vice President of Finance for a real estate firm, Ms. Trick oversaw the acquisition of $2.7 billion dollars in transaction value.
  • Ms. Trick was directly responsible for the financial modeling, forecasting, refinancing and portfolio management for a 2,400 unit Section 8 housing portfolio.
Ms. Trick is a well-respected industry speaker and instructor. She is a certified public accountant and served as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Housing Conference. Ms. Trick has taught courses for the School of Public Affairs at the University of Maryland, professional education courses for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Real Estate Accounting for Fannie Mae.

She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Illinois State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Kenneth R. Morris
National Sales Manager
As the National Sales Manager Mr. Morris’s day-to-day responsibilities involves building stronger bond between Secondary Life Capital, LLC and its life settlement broker network. Mr. Morris also focuses on developing new sources of life settlement cases through broker outreach, networking and participation in trade association meetings and conventions. Additionally he provides continual guidance to both brokers and Secondary Life Capital, LLC staff regarding how to operate more effectively together by clarifying expectations, case submission requirements, and facilitating communications. Mr. Morris manages the trading and transaction activities between account managers and life settlement brokers. Mr. Morris has more than 12 years of experience in the life settlement industry and holds life insurance licenses in 14 states.

R. Larry Warnock
Actuarial Consultant
Mr. Warnock consults with Secondary Life Capital, LLC in the evaluation and review of life settlement transactions, and financial analysis of portfolios. He is instrumental in analyzing risks and developing financial structures for portfolio acquisitions and other life settlement opportunities. Mr. Warnock's extensive experience in the insurance industry has been gained primarily by working with life settlement firms and life/health insurance companies. He is an accomplished author of actuarial and accounting principle books, and a highly respected advisor to the insurance, reinsurance, and investment industries. Mr. Warnock's background includes roles in leadership, analysis and project management activities with firms such as Milliman, Tillinghast, KPMG, and currently with Value Life Corporation.

Larry is a graduate of Georgia State University. His designations include Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Member of American Academy of Actuaries and Fellow of Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

Jerry Cherrington
Senior Insurance Advisor / Director of Training
Mr. Cherrington brings a wealth of financial and life insurance industry experience to the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team. With well over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles, Jerry is highly knowledgeable in numerous aspects of life insurance products and strategies. Mr. Cherrington has held leadership positions with life insurance firms including: Anchor National Life Insurance, Transamerica Life Companies, ING, and the Principal Financial Group. Previously Jerry held the position of Director of Acquisitions with Life Equity, LLC a well respected life settlement provider.

Jerry holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor’s Degree from Beloit College (WI) and has held the following registrations: Series 6, Series 7, Series 24, Series 26, and Series 63. He also held Ohio Life, Health and Variable Products Licenses (1998-2002) and was a licensed Investment Advisor Representative from 2000-2002.

Justin Windholtz
Applications Developer / Technology Team Leader
Mr. Windholtz directs all Secondary Life Capital, LLC technology based activities and provides ongoing guidance to senior management regarding the appropriate use of technology to achieve a competitive business advantage. He is the lead developer for the Secondary Life Capital, LLC proprietary database, which is designed to track effectively life settlement cases throughout the analysis and closing process and meet all regulatory compliance standards. Prior to joining Secondary Life Capital, Justin was a .Net developer for a consulting firm in Cincinnati where he worked on portfolio analytic software for hedge funds and money managers.

Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is experienced in working with vb.Net, asp.Net, C, C++, XML, SQL, and Python, in both Windows and Linux environments..

Viola Llewellyn
Executive Assistant
Ms. Llewellyn is a professional executive assistant and manager with over ten years experience supervising administrative support staff, supporting executives, and managing offices. Ms. Llewellyn is an analytical individual with exceptional communication skills and strong project management abilities.

In her Executive Assistant role, Ms. Llewellyn supports Secondary Life Capital, LLC's President Mark Goode's activities and initiatives. Ms. Llewellyn is responsible for managing travel, daily calendars, office organization, and communications involving Mr. Goode's activities. Previously Ms. Llewellyn served in a similar capacity for Unisys, KPMG, and Preston Gates Ellis and Rouvelas Meeds, a successful Washington lobbying firm.

Ms. Llewellyn was educated in Great Britain at Reading College of Technology.

Robert Brown
Investment Analyst
Robert joins the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team from New York Life Insurance Company, where he was an insurance agent based in Northern Virginia for 5 years. Robert focused on providing service to individuals, small businesses and business owners, creating package solutions based on offering health and life coverage.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of the North Carolina A&T State University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Jonathan Nguyen-Phuong
Investment Analyst
Jonathan is a recent graduate from Georgetown University where he majored in Economics. He also has studied in Asia and traveled abroad extensively. Jonathan works closely with Secondary Life Capital LLC’s Account Managers in analyzing and pricing life settlements. His previous work experience includes internships in China with CDH Investments (a private equity firm) and Otis Elevator.

Jonathan speaks Vietnamese, French and Mandarin.

Tya Grant
Closing Manager
As Closing Manager, Ms. Grant’s main focus is to condense the amount of time it takes to close and fund purchased policies. She works closely with the Account Managers, insurance carriers, escrow agents, and the funding entities to gain all necessary information to acquire policies for Secondary Life Capital, LLC. Ms. Grant also works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Greg Elam concentrating on management of purchased case load and the distribution of portfolio assets. Ms. Grant comes to SLC with seven years of management experience, primarily telecommunications with T-Mobile USA.

Ms. Grant studied Fine and Performing Arts at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.

Anna M. Bailey
Account Manager / European Investor Liaison
Ms. Bailey joins our team as an Investment Analyst. After her completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Buffalo where she received a BA in German with a double major in International Relations, she studied at University of Maryland College Park. At Maryland, she holds a Master’s Degree in Germanic Studies with a concentration in Language, Literature and Culture.

Ms. Bailey provides invaluable assistance to the team at Secondary Life Capital, LLC. Her responsibilities include cultivating relationships with international funding institutions and educating the Investment Operations Center on cultural sensitivity in business.

Carrie Hull
Account Manager / Compliance Manager
Ms. Hull directs on site compliance including licensing and due diligence reporting at Secondary Life Capital, LLC. She monitors suitability and best execution within the Investment Operations Center.

Prior to joining Secondary Life Capital, LLC, Carrie worked for Ferris Baker Watts Inc., the largest investment bank headquartered in Washington DC, and the World Bank Group. She also has experience consulting for new ventures in biotech commercialization and tax and accounting services.

Ms. Hull is a graduate of the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a concentration in International Economics. She maintains her Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.

Zlatan Beca
Account Manager
Zlatan joins the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team with six years of life insurance and group benefits experience at both MetLife and Foster Thomas, a Maryland based benefits consulting firm. As an Account Manager plays a major role in managing life settlement transactions from initial application through the settlement closing.

Zlatan is a graduate of University of Maryland at College Park where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Economics. He holds his Life / Health Insurance licenses as well as a Series 6, 7, 63 & 65. Zlatan is fluent in Serbio-Croatian.
