Mark Goode
President |
Following careful analysis of investment trends, Mark Goode identified emerging opportunities in the secondary market for life insurance in early 2002. During the following year he organized and founded The Peninsula Group, LLC to be an integrated holding company entirely focused on the senior life insurance market. Peninsula controls and manages four distinct business subsidiaries which operate as a life settlement provider, a life insurance premium finance originator, an investment fund manager, and a life insurance policy and portfolio service provider. Mr. Goode serves not only as Peninsula’s CEO and Co-Manager but also as the President and CEO of Secondary Life Capital, LLC and Life Policy Dynamics, LLC.
Prior to his involvement in the secondary market for life insurance, Mr. Goode was integrally involved in a number of commercial real estate transactions. As a real estate investment banker, he structured and placed significant equity for the purchase of landmark buildings.
In addition to his financial and business experience, Mr. Goode is a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Legislative Affairs with a focus on Monetary and Fiscal Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development from the University of Oklahoma.

Nancy Trick
Chief Financial Officer |
As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Trick oversees all aspects of Secondary Life Capital, LLC's forecasting, modeling and accounting functions. Prior to joining
Secondary Life Capital, Ms. Trick spent more than 25 years in senior financial
capacities, including Chief Financial Officer for several real estate
ownership, management and asset management concerns, and Director with a
leading public accounting firm. During her public accounting career, she was
engaged to craft Secondary Life Capital's initial financial projections and
market entry fund proforma.
Ms. Trick's seasoned background in finance includes the following highlights:

As Director of the Reznick Group, Ms. Trick consulted on portfolio
acquisitions, portfolio strategies and asset management for a broad range of
clients.

During her tenure as Senior Vice President of Finance for a real estate firm,
Ms. Trick oversaw the acquisition of $2.7 billion dollars in transaction value.

Ms. Trick was directly responsible for the financial modeling, forecasting,
refinancing and portfolio management for a 2,400 unit Section 8 housing
portfolio.
Ms. Trick is a well-respected industry speaker and instructor. She is a
certified public accountant and served as a member of the Board of Directors
for the National Housing Conference. Ms. Trick has taught courses for the
School of Public Affairs at the University of Maryland, professional education
courses for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Real
Estate Accounting for Fannie Mae.
She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Illinois State University and
a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She is also
a Certified Public Accountant.
Nadeem Waeen
General Council |
Nadeem Waeen is the General Counsel of Secondary Life Capital. Mr. Waeen most recently served as Associate General Counsel of InsCap Management, LLC. Mr. Waeen also worked as an attorney at Dewey & Leboeuf, one of the major insurance law firms in the United States, and clerked to a U.S. district court judge. Mr. Waeen holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a B.A. from New York University.
Jerry Cherrington
Senior Insurance Advisor / Director of Training |
Mr. Cherrington brings a wealth of financial and life insurance industry experience to the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team. With well over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles, Jerry is highly knowledgeable in numerous aspects of life insurance products and strategies. Mr. Cherrington has held leadership positions with life insurance firms including: Anchor National Life Insurance, Transamerica Life Companies, ING, and the Principal Financial Group. Previously Jerry held the position of Director of Acquisitions with Life Equity, LLC a well respected life settlement provider.
Jerry holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor’s Degree from Beloit College (WI) and has held the following registrations: Series 6, Series 7, Series 24, Series 26, and Series 63. He also held Ohio Life, Health and Variable Products Licenses (1998-2002) and was a licensed Investment Advisor Representative from 2000-2002.
Justin Windholtz
Applications Developer / Technology Team Leader |
Mr. Windholtz directs all Secondary Life Capital, LLC technology based activities and provides ongoing guidance to senior management regarding the appropriate use of technology to achieve a competitive business advantage. He is the lead developer for the Secondary Life Capital, LLC proprietary database, which is designed to track effectively life settlement cases throughout the analysis and closing process and meet all regulatory compliance standards. Prior to joining Secondary Life Capital in 2006, Justin was a .Net developer for a consulting firm in Cincinnati where he worked on portfolio analytic software for hedge funds and money managers.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is experienced in working with vb.Net, asp.Net, C, C++, XML, SQL, and Python, in both Windows and Linux environments.
Robert Brown
Account Manager |
Robert joined the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team in 2007 from New York Life Insurance Company, where he was an insurance agent based in Northern Virginia for 5 years. Robert focused on providing service to individuals, small businesses and business owners, creating package solutions based on offering health and life coverage.
Mr. Brown was educated at the North Carolina A&T State University.
Tya Grant
Closing Manager |
As Closing Manager, Ms. Grant’s main focus is to condense the amount of time it takes to close and fund purchased policies. She works closely with the Investment Analysts, Insurance Carriers, Escrow agents, and the funding entities to gain all necessary information to acquire policies for Secondary Life Capital. Ms. Grant also manages the purchased case load and the distribution of portfolio assets. Ms Grant joined SLC in 2007 with seven years of management experience, primarily telecommunications with T-Mobile USA.
Ms. Grant studied Fine and Performing Arts at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
Zlatan Beca
Account Manager |
Zlatan joined the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team in 2007 with 6 years of life insurance and group benefits experience at both MetLife and Foster Thomas, a Maryland based benefits consulting firm. As an Account Manager, he plays a major role in managing life settlement transactions from initial application through the settlement closing.
Zlatan is a graduate of University of Maryland at College Park where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Economics. He holds his Life / Health Insurance licenses as well as a Series 6, 7, 63 & 65. Zlatan is fluent in Serbo-Croatian.
Matt Morris
Investment Analyst |
Matt joins the Secondary Life Capital, LLC team from another Life settlement provider based out of Maryland. Prior to working in the life settlement industry he was the Marketing Director for a large independent insurance agency and held positions in several insurance marketing councils. He holds Maryland Life, Health, Property, and Casualty insurance licenses. Matt graduated Suma Cum Laude from Villa Julie College and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration from Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University and the Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU).
Jennifer Stabile
Compliance Manager |
Jennifer Stabile comes to The Peninsula Group of companies from her former position as Compliance Director at Life Asset Group, LLC, one of the leading viatical/life settlement broker firms in the nation. In that position, she was responsible for handling the many compliance, licensing and regulatory issues that face the life settlement industry on a daily basis. She also assisted the firm’s business alliance partnerships with support in the areas of marketing and licensure. Ms. Stabile’s experience in the viatical/life settlement industry began in 1998 at Brinkley, McNerney, Morgan, Solomon & Tatum, one of the premier viatical and life settlement law firms in the nation. She worked exclusively for broker and provider clients making her a uniquely qualified individual capable of handling both sides of the transaction. During her years at the firm as senior paralegal and legislative analyst she was instrumental in and contributed to the drafting of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) Viatical Settlements Model Regulation, the National Association of Securities Administrators Association (“NASAA”) “Guidelines to Viatical Settlement Investments” and various other states’ viatical and life settlement legislation including revisions to Florida’s Viatical Settlement Act. She was liaison between a broker client and the Florida state examiner’s office during an audit of that company and also offered her support to a major provider client during a state examination of its business.
Ms. Stabile graduated from Berkley College, White Plains, New York with honors, where she studied general business, and from Broward College, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with high honors, where she obtained an A.S. Degree in Legal Assisting. Ms. Stabile holds a life, health and variable annuity license in Florida.
